Terms of use
Version draft-2026-10 · October 27, 2026
These are the rules for using Family Points. They are short and in plain words. The version at the top changes when they do.
Who may use Family Points
You must be 18 or older and have an invite from us. Kids use Family Points only through a parent's account, with that parent's permission and under that parent's care. You are responsible for how your family uses it.
Your account
Keep your password and your kids' PINs private. Use an email address you can read. If you think someone else has your password, reset it right away and tell us.
Points are not money
Points have no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold, or moved outside your family. Rewards are promises your family makes to each other, not promises we make. Family Points is free today; if that ever changes, we tell you first.
AI help
A parent can ask the app to draft a practice list from a few words or a photo. The draft comes from an AI model and can be wrong. Review it before your kid sees it. Do not put names or other personal details in the words or the photo you send, and only send material you are allowed to use.
Devices
You may link a kid's iPad or an LED board to your family. They show your family's points on your own network. You choose what to link, and you can unlink a device at any time in the app.
What you may not do
- Try to break into the service, probe it, or get around its limits.
- Copy the service, scrape it, or flood it with requests.
- Enter other people's personal information without the right to.
- Use Family Points for anything unlawful.
Availability and changes
Family Points is a small, invite-only service. It may change, pause, or stop. When we can, we email every parent before a change that matters.
Ending
You can delete your family or your account at any time, with 30 days to undo (the privacy policy says how). We may end access for a family that breaks these terms, and we email its parents when it is reasonable to.
No warranty, and limits
Family Points is provided as it is, without a warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, SoftLabNY LLC is not liable for indirect losses, and its total liability to you is limited to what you have paid for Family Points, which today is nothing.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of New York, and disputes are heard in the courts of New York.
Changes to these terms
The version at the top changes when the terms do. The app shows the version you accept when you join. If a change matters, we email every parent first.
